A unique party at Coachella was the appropriate setting for the news that Alexander Wang (creative director of Balenciaga and the toast of the fashion world, at the ripe old age of 33) will be collaborating with H & M, with the collection to hit stores on 6th November 2014.
Wang is the first American designer to collaborate with the brand, which will celebrate the 10th anniversary of designer collabs. He says to expect something different - he has no interest in doing what's been done before and promises a "new take on a lifestyle offering." The news was revealed at a party with a difference - both brands invited guests separately, who turned up to a joint party announcing the news.
He follows other design stars such as Karl Lagerfeld, Maison Martin Margiela, Stella McCartney, Lanvin and Isabel Marant who have previously designed for the brand. Collections for men and women will be available. Expect great tailoring for the urban fashion connisseur.
