A New Rooftop Bar Experience in Newcastle...

If you're anything like me you're always looking for something different to go to. The second I hear about a new concept or event I lock onto it like an Exocet missile and make it my mission to attend. I was happy to see a large group of independent food and drinks businesses in Newcastle collaborate for Summer Storeys, which takes place the Bank Holiday Sunday on the roof of the Barrack Road car park at St James' Park!

From 1pm until late on Sunday night you'll be able to sample some of the region's best street food, with local favourites such as Lola Jean's, Manny's New York Pizza Deli, The Little Fishy and Chuco's serving up delicious food, and Jam Jar, Ouseburn Coffee Company, Wylam's Brewery and The Grind Newcastle providing the beverages. I sampled Jam Jar's real fruit cocktails last weekend and they are spectacular! I'm a huge Espresso Martini fan and this signature cocktail from the Ouseburn Coffee Company is meant to be delicious!

It's a great idea to go with a group and get to sample all of the different food on offer. DJs will provide the soundtrack to your day, and there'll be plenty of seating and shelter too (the rooftop is covered by a canopy in case it rains). Fingers crossed the sun will be out and you can groove away in the designated disco area, whilst you enjoy the best cocktails and street food in the North East whilst watching the sun go down behind the city skyline. The event is family friendly and pets are welcome, so bring the whole brood and have a great day out!

Experience the delights of this Concrete Jungle with a difference! I praying for good weather for the event, so that everyone can dance the night away and have a day to remember!

Book your ticket for this Sunday's event here - only £4 (with £1 booking fee).

  1. It was fun at the launch, even in the rain, so fingers crossed for an even better event over the bank holiday weekend!

  2. I'd read about this a month or so ago and then totally forgot it was on over the bank holiday, it sounded good though! x
