Vogue Festival 2015

If you’re into fashion, then you need to clear your diary for the weekend of April 25th and 26th and get ready for the fashion extravaganza that is the Vogue Festival! In its fourth year, this year’s festival sees exclusive talks with top designers and the new Vogue Masterclasses, unmissable if you are looking at getting into any area of the fashion industry. There’s also a whole host of fun activities going on at two amazing venues - The Royal Collage of Art and The Royal Geographical Society. Here’s a little more detail about the dazzling array of events!

Designer Talks

Saturday 25th April sees talks by Vogue’s Fashion Editor Lucinda Chambers, shoe maestro Christian Louboutin, the whimsical Vogue photographer Tim Walker, enfant terrible of French fashion Jean Paul Gaultier and Balmain’s Creative Director Olivier Rousteing. Sunday 26th April includes talks with designers Roksanda Illinic and Erdem Moralioglu, new Maison Martin Director John Galliano (yes, you read it right) and Bobbi Brown alongside Vogue cover girl Kate Upton talking about beauty in fashion.

Vogue Masterclasses

If your heart is set on a career in fashion the Vogue Masterclasses are unmissable - the chance to get around the table with industry experts and learn face to face with successful writers, stylists, photographers and editors. Anyone interested in fashion editing will not want to miss the Art of Editing Masterclass, which explores how to create amazing features with Vogue Features Editor Susie Rushton and writers. Any budding fashion photographers should immediately book a ticket for the Breaking into Fashion Photography Masterclass, with Vogue Creative Director Jaime Perlman, leading fashion photographers and agents.

Sunday sees the How to Become a Successful Fashion Editor masterclass with Topshop Creative Director Kate Phelan and Vogue editors. Budding fashion writers need to get in on the Know About Fashion Journalism Masterclass, led by leading fashion writers covering topics such as article structure, interviewing, and most importantly how to write for Vogue.

General talks

There’s also talks on a wide range of topics such as Dressing for Success (Saturday) and Change Your Life (Sunday) which involves leading wellbeing practitioners such as James Duigan of Bodyism and Ella Woodward from Deliciously Ella, nutrition and food expert and  blogger. There’s also Personal Style with top model Stella Tennant and designer Bella Freud (Sunday).

Festival Activities

Buying a ticket for a talk or a masterclass gives you access to a wide range of fun activities at the Royal College of Art (you can also buy foyer access without going to any talks or masterclasses). Look the part with makeovers from Bobbi Brown makeup artists and manicures courtesy of Topshop. Get style and beauty advice from the experts at the Vogue Surgery, and your hair catwalk ready at the Kerastase Hair Bar. You can even star on your own souvenir Vogue cover! With Harrods Cafe and Champagne Bar providing fashionable food and cocktails - this weekend is a must for any discerning fashionista.

Have a great time - I'd love to here about your Vogue Festival experiences!
