Another day, another collaboration. Recently we've seen the frenzy over Alexander Wang's sports luxe collection for H & M (the expected website meltdown and fighting in the stores), Beyonce recently announced her sportswear collaboration with Topshop to the delight of millions, and now print designer extraordinare Mary Katrantzou's long anticipated collection with Adidas is soon to become available to sportswear fans (it's available on November 15th).
Adidas Originals by Mary Katrantzou is a triumph of graphic print - a capsule collection of sportswear and footwear which gives fashion fans the opportunity to own a piece of her work without the huge price tag. Fans may remember her collaboration with Topshop a few years ago which sold out in hours.
My favourite pieces include the sleeveless dress with the sneaker lace-up print, the neoprene sweater and the hot pink, purple and green sneaker. The prints feature florals, laces and stripes and were inspired by 70s and 80s track stars. After fighting for Wang x H&M (I managed to pick up the jeans I wanted) November 15th is circled in my diary.
