Dover Street Market London - cutting edge since 2004

Like department stores? Like street markets? Like minimalism and high fashion?  Yes, yes, YES! Of course you do. I can bet you also like Comme des Garcons and cutting edge interiors. It's a good job Rei Kawakubo, CDG founder thought of this highly innovative concept store, as it combines all of these elements and is the go-to place for the latest hot off the catwalk designs and collaborations, expanding from its original 2004 London (DSML) emporium to Tokyo (DSMG - G for Ginza - opened in 2012) and  New York (DSMNY- opened in 2013).

DSML

If you love CDG, then you should already be a regular here. All fourteen collections are stocked (main collections, plus Shirt, Play etc) alongside exclusive pieces from top drawer designers such as Lanvin and Givenchy.

Let's look at it floor by floor...

BF1 (Basement)

Here you will find Edited Black CDG, CDG Homme and Junya Watanabe Man, alongside the Sneaker Space and IDEA bookstore. There are also many up and coming designers jostling for floor space.

Here you can find Comme des Garcons Comme des Garcons, alongside other designers and the lovely ROSE BAKERY, created by Rose Carrarini and her husband Jean Charles. Of course there needs to be somewhere to have a sit down and a brew after all of that head-spinning fashion art. Cookbooks are available at the E-shop.

If you visit and realise you may need a bit of time to find the cash for some of these amazing creations - you can purchase via the E-shop. It's divided into Comme des Garcons, DSM selections, Jewellery and Sneaker Space.

I'll blog on Comme des Garcons soon - their output is so huge that it might take a while...
